Williamina Nicholls

Williamina Margaret Nicholls passed away in the Canmore Hospital on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the age of 93 years.

Born and raised in Gowganda, Ontario, she trained as a Registered Nurse at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto in order to become a stewardess for Trans Canada Airlines. She met Richard Stanley Nicholls on one of her many flights to Barbados. She gave up her love of flying to marry Richard. Their daughter Kathryn was born in Barbados before they divorced in 1961. Williamina then moved to Calgary, becoming an Executive Secretary in the Oil & Gas industry in Calgary, working for five different companies, but never changing her desk or her office.

After retirement and a life in Calgary, Williamina moved to live with her daughter, Kathryn in Exshaw.

A Celebration of her life was held on Saturday, May 9, 2015

in the Ralph Connor United Church in Canmore.
