It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Caron. Victor passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side.
Born into a large and joyous family in Saint-Cyrille-de-Lessard, Québec, Victor moved to Banff permanently in 1977, after starting his culinary career in Québec City.
A respected father, partner, and friend. Un cuisinier, a fireman, and a horseman, Victor was passionate about life. He liked what he liked: his horses, time in nature with a good vista, a good truck (Chevy/GMC), a good hockey team (Québec Nordiques & Calgary Flames), good cuisine, good friends, and family. One of Victor’s greatest joys was riding his horses around Banff and in the backcountry with those he loved. Most of all he found joy in living life.
Victor is survived by his children, Jeremy and Lianne (Andreas) and their mother Lois, his partner Laurie, and 8 siblings in Québec.
The family would like to thank his health care teams, especially at the Bow Valley Community Cancer Centre, for their care and support.
A celebration of life will be planned for the spring.
