It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Tania. Born in Auckland, New Zealand on January 7, 1971,she later moved with her family to Takaka, where she was the eldest daughter in a lively household of nine children. In her twenties, Tania travelled to Canmore to work as a nanny for a local family. She quickly fell in love with the Bow Valley and chose it as the place she would build her life.
Tania’s parents, Judy and Gary Bowden, remember her as a child brimming with potential. Exceptionally bright, she taught herself to read by watching Sesame Street and was able to read the newspaper before starting school. As she grew, her talents flourished. She found joy in writing, illustration, sprint and long-distance running, gymnastics, and theatre. Her gift for caring for children, first her siblings, then the many young lives she touched in New Zealand and Canada, became one of her defining qualities.
After settling in Canmore, Tania met her future husband, James Buzzee. They welcomed their son, Leo Bowden Buzzee with great excitement in 2005. Together, Tania and James dedicated themselves to building the James Frames and Kinsella Art Studio business, always imagining a future where they would eventually retire and enjoy the beauty and peace of the Bow Valley.
Tania was a wonderful, generous lady who loved her family and all living things. She was very sweet and kind, her true passion in life was gardening.
Tania is survived by her husband, James, and son, Leo; her stepdaughters Dana,Robyn and Alexis; parents, Judy and Gary; and her siblings, Simon, Benjamin, Paul, Adrienne, Rex, Daniel, Carl, and Loren. and the select circle of people she chose to let into her world. Those who knew and appreciated her sharp wit, fierce independence, and unmistakable strength and intelligence.
Tania, we loved you and you will be deeply missed.
