Ray Payne

Harold Raymond Payne, known to all as Ray, passed away peacefully at home, following a short battle with cancer, at the age of 88 years.

Ray is survived by his daughter Patti Johnson of Silverton, BC and

his grandchildren: Shawna Johnson of Victoria, BC, Caylee Johnson of Fintry, BC, Jennalee Johnson of Kamloops, BC and Dylan Johnson of BC, Candice Payne of Canmore and Tyler Payne (Flurina) of Fernie, BC, and 3 great grandchildren all of BC. Ray is also survived by his daughter-in-law Cindy Payne of Canmore and sisters Viola Brown of Calgary and June Stewart of Strathmore.

Ray was predeceased by his wife Doreen (November 10, 2010)

and his son Dale (May 8, 2018).

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to

Dr. Mike Quinlan for his care and compassion given to Ray and the family during Ray's illness. Thank you also to the all staff at the Canmore Hospital.

A celebration of life gathering of friends and family was held

at the Canmore Golf and Curling Club, Monday, August 13.

In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to remember Ray may make donations, in his memory, to the Canmore Hospital, 1100 Hospital Place, Canmore, AB T1W 1N2
