Patrick Conway

Patrick Francis Conway was born in Ballivor, County Meath,

Ireland to Thomas Conway and Margaret Callan. He died

peacefully at the Foothills Hospital April 1, 2014 in his

88th year. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Goggin,

brother Sean and sisters Maire and Maev.

Patrick is survived by his children Tom(Linda) of Ottawa,

Deirdre(Kees) of Guelph, Diarmuid of Vancouver, Grainne of Halifax,

Aoife (Dan) of Haliburton and Patrick of Sundre. He is also survived by

his siblings Eithne, Ultan, Loman and Aoife, all of Ireland

as well as 12 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patrick received his medical degree from University College

Dublin in 1951. He and Mary emigrated to Canada in 1955. He

worked as a general practitioner in Newfoundland for 5 years

before returning to training in psychiatry in Saskatoon and

North Battleford. He started his general psychiatry practice

in Calgary in 1965 and worked there until his retirement

just a few years ago.

Funeral Mass was Celebrate on Friday April 4, 2014 at Sacred Heart Church, 1307 - 14 St. SW in Calgary.
