Mary Misura

Mary Misura passed away quietly and peacefully Friday April 26, 2013 at the Canmore General Hospital at the age of 89 years. Mary was predeceased by her husband Basil (Wilkie) Misura and survived by their six children, Wayne (Christine), Frank (Jan), Joe (Karen), Phyllis (Tim) Kay, Bill and Mark. Mary was also survived by her grand children, Daniel, Jamie, Nicole, Jason, Luke, Kacey, Shane and Kayla and 11 great grandchildren. Siblings Helen, Amelia, Edward and Jenny.

Mary was an active church member, avid gardener and contributor to many charitable organizations.

Mary was born in Poland and at the age of 4 she and her family immigrated to Canada and homesteaded near Thorhild AB. At the age of 17 Mary moved to Exshaw, AB where she met and married her husband of 51 years, Wilkie.

Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Our Lady of the Rockies Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canmore. Interment followed in Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Calgary where she was laid to rest with her beloved Wilkie.
