It is with great sadness that the family of (Frances) Marion White
(age 94), announce her peaceful passing on September 30, 2021,
in the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital Long-Term Care Centre.
Marion was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Sheila
(Art) Powell, and her brother and sister-in-law Ted (Diane) White.
She is survived by her nephews Tim (Mary) Powell, Ken (Laurie) Powell,
John (Donna) Powell, Scott (Marnie) White, and nieces Susan Powell and Jennifer (Nathan) Hodgson, as well as numerous grand-nieces
and nephews and their families.
Born in Canmore on February 1, 1928, Marion loved the outdoors,
and always returned to the Rocky Mountains. After her graduation
from nursing, she joined the Canadian Military, serving her country both at home and abroad. She retired at the rank of Captain, while stationed in CFB Cold Lake in the 1980s. In her retirement years, Marion lived in Calgary, Banff, Kelowna and Canmore. Her love of family, mischievous smiles and laughter will always be remembered, as will her love of Red Rose tea, the Royal Family and the color pink.
