Margaret Evelyn Trembecky (nee Tennant)

Margaret Trembecky of Calgary AB, passed away peacefully in Banff on Oct 8th at the age of 90, after a short battle with cancer.

Margaret was born in Mountain Park AB on May 29th, 1935 to Martha & James Tennant. She grew up with her sisters, Judy & Heather Tennant in East Coulee AB. She was a secretary for the Atlas Mine, worked in Calgary, and always had a story about working at the Paris Tea Room in Banff. In her later years she worked at the Banff Mineral Springs hospital.

Margaret married George Trembecky on November 9th, 1957, and they started their journey taking them to Empress, SK, Medicine Hat, AB, finally settling in Calgary. She was a mother to 5 children, whom she loved immensely.

She loved the mountains, the whistle of the train, her grandchildren, and spending time with her family.

Margaret is survived by her children, Jim (Sharon) Trembecky, Christy (Mike) Lilly & Taya (Steve) White. Her grandchildren, Kent (Savannah), Quincy (Mya), Zachary (Hannah), Charlee & Kaila (Jaxon). As well as great grandchildren Quinn & Sadie Trembecky.

She was predeceased by her husband George (1999), son Craig (1999), Mother Molly (2007), son Scott (2023), sister Heather (2024).

The family would like to give a special thank you to her sister Judy for taking care of her for the last few months, as well as the staff at the Banff Mineral Springs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Banff Legion on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 from 1pm to 3pm. Donations can be made to the Women In Need foundation.
