With profound sorrow and heartfelt gratitude, we announce the passing of Kevin Allan Larsen, who left us peacefully on July 24, 2026. Kevin was born on April 25, 1955, in Canmore—a place that shaped his enduring spirit and fierce devotion to his family, friends, and the community he cherished throughout his life.

Kevin leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Barbara of 30 years; his children, Kristoffor (Louise), Brittni, Lisa, Reid (Alysia), Kenneth (Joanna), and Tammy. Kevin was a proud grandfather to Kayla (Braydon) and their children Weston and Bentley, Colton, Areanna (Nathan)and their child Colter, Rylee, Kiara, Brody, and Oliver. His siblings—Cherrie, Doris, Ross (Bonnie), and Karen (Michael) along with his brother-in-law Doyle, and sister-in-law Lynda, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive him and will deeply miss his steadfast presence.

Kevin’s life was also touched by loss. He is predeceased by his mother Daisy, father Bert, and stepfather Cyril Foster, as well as siblings Mildred, Marjorie, Marilyn, Bonny, Susan, William, Arthur, Leonard and Bert. He is also predeceased by brothers-in-law Bernard, Jack, Bryan, and sister-in-law Donna.

For an incredible 42 years, Kevin served with distinction at Lafarge Exshaw. His loyalty to his work was more than just a testament to his work ethic—it reflected his steadiness, warmth, and knack for building relationships that went beyond the professional to the genuinely personal. His commitment was further reflected in his involvement with prestigious associations such as the Canadian Institute of Management and Administration and the Purchasing Management Association. Through his steadfast work ethic, Kevin contributed immeasurably to his workplace and those around him, earning respect, trust, and admiration.

Education was important to Kevin, and he pursued higher learning at Mount Royal and Western University. These formative years prepared him for the professional accomplishments and community involvement that defined much of his life.

Kevin found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, with a passion for hockey, especially the Philadelphia Flyers, and baseball, cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays. But above all, it was family that truly brought Kevin happiness. He treasured moments spent with loved ones, creating memories that will live in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

A Celebration of Life for Kevin will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 10:00am, at St. Michael's Anglican Church, located at 709 7 St, Canmore, AB. In lieu of flowers donations may be made directly to the Arthritis Society of Canada https://donate.arthritis.ca/
