Kathy Sweet

Kathy Sweet, passed away on July 23, 2025, at the Golden Eagle View Care Centre in Canmore. She was born on January 29, 1939, in Drumheller, and gracefully lived a full life of 86 years before succumbing to an illness she bravely battled for many years.

Kathy was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Albert, with whom she shared an enduring partnership of 64 years. Together, they built a warm family environment that welcomed their three children: Brenda Jeffery and her husband Brant, Karen Sweet, and Jason Sweet alongside his wife Lila. Kathy took great pride in her role as a mother, and her love extended to her six grandchildren: Joshua Hale and Alicia, Jordan Hale, Carly Jeffery, Ali Jeffery, Marko Sweet, and Zachary Sweet, as well as her three great-grandchildren, who will fondly remember her warmth and kindness.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edith and Irving, her brother Larry Folden, as well as her sisters Carmen Pattison and Geraldine Jensen. Each of them holds a special place in the hearts of those who remember Kathy.

The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at the Golden Eagle View for the exceptional care and attention they provided to Kathy during her time there. Their compassion and support brought comfort in her final years.

Kathy Sweet will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and her legacy of love and unity will undoubtedly live on in the lives she touched. At Kathy's request no service will be held.
