Joan Lewis

Beloved wife of E. John Lewis of Calgary, Joan V. A. Lewis passed away at the Foothills Hospital at the age of 86 years. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Joni-Lynn (Peter) Talbot and grandson Lewis Talbot.

Born in Canmore to parents Bill and Mary Fletcher, Joan lived an enviable life in a loving family of two sisters, Pat and Linda and brother David. Joan was predeceased by her parents and brother.

Joan moved to Calgary to work in 1948 and was employed by both White Rose and Canadian Oils. She married the love of her life in 1953 and they had 63 happy and loving years together, raising their family and travelling.

Joan will be remembered for her kindness, total belief in others, generosity, compassion, selflessness, unwavering optimism and

sense of fun. She will be dearly missed.

Funeral service for Joan was held Wednesday, September 28, 2016 in the Ralph Connor United Church, Canmore. She was then laid to rest in the Canmore Cemetery.
