Born in Douglas, Scotland April 15, 1927. Hannah later moved to Muirkirk where her adventurous spirit began to take shape. As a young woman, she joined the NAAFU serving overseas in Egypt during the war. During her time in Egypt she met the love of her life Joe McGleish. After returning to Scotland they married on April 16, 1948.

Hannah and Joe decided to immigrate to Canada in 1957. Joe traveled ahead to find work and Hannah came 3 months later, crossing the ocean with Elizabeth and Ann to start their new life. A few years later Linda and then Roseline arrived, completing the family. Family was everything!

Many would remember our Mom from Uneeda Snack Bar, baking pies at Marra's, helping the ladies auxiliary, darts at the Legion, speeding down the streets in the red van with Babs to go for lunch. Hannah LOVED to travel especially with her cousin Liz Fisher, they were often referred to as Thelma and Louise. She loved her chats on the phone with her sister-in-law Jean, niece Ann, cousin Sandra, close friends Dianne and Roseanne. She also loved sitting in the sun and her little rye and ginger before bed.

Our mum, our star, that will not die. Though she's gone from sight, her voice, her care, her love — they echo still in every step we take

Please join our family Friday March 6th at the Canmore Golf and Curling Club at 1PM to celebrate our Mom.

Our family would like to thank Dr. Emma Morin for all of the care given to our Mom over the past few years, Dr. Fielden at Calgary Retina Consultants and the Dr's and Nurses and all the Staff at the Foothills Hospital Unit 42 and Unit 64 in the Mccaig Tower for the loving care given to our Mom in her last days.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canmore Hospital Foundation or Alberta Children's Hospital.
