Ellen Marie Lazzarotto

It is with extreme sadness that the family announces the passing of Marie Lazzarotto on January 22, 2026. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her daughters and son-in-law, following a brief but courageous encounter with cancer. 

Marie will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and her community, especially “Little Italy”. Marie was an avid gardener. She took great pride in keeping her yard filled with beautiful flowers and keeping her yard in immaculate condition. Marie was a devoted reader, she found great joy in visiting the local library, often carrying home an armful of books. From watching her daughters' figure skating and baseball games to cheering on her grandsons at hockey, she took great joy in being present for every moment. Her last great adventure took her and her daughters to Italy. In her words, it was the “icing on the cake.”

Marie was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Ron Lazzarotto, her parents William and Florence Tipton, her sister Debbie Tipton, her brother-in-law, Clarence Bernauer and her in-laws, Jino and Milly Lazzarotto. Marie is survived by her 2 daughters, Brenda, Lisa (Robin), grandsons Keegan and Braden, her sister Denise Bernauer, and her in-laws, Linda Lamb (Ron), Lionel Lazzarotto (Heather), Ritchie Lazzarotto (Sandy), and, of course, her grandpups Cooper and Tundra.
