Edith Filipek

Edith (Edie) Filipek of Canmore, AB, is finally free of the chronic pain that she endured for many of her 78 years. We give thanks for that, and celebrate her life.

Mom lived in Germany during World War II, then worked and travelled through Europe before moving to Canada in 1966. She dearly loved and is survived by her children - Janet Krausert (Sean), Daryl Filipek (Tricia) and Tanya Abrams (Michael); and grandchildren – Ben, Jenna and Tyler.

Edie loved giving and getting hugs, reminding us always to love yourself and others. She will live on in us forever. The family will celebrate a private memorial together.
