It is with deep sorrow and gentle peace that we announce the passing of Dharshanie Cooray, who departed to her heavenly home on July 17, 2026. A cherished resident of Banff, Dharshanie’s warmth, vibrant spirit, and generous heart left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Born in Sri Lanka on September 22, 1960, Dharshanie spent her formative years studying at Methodist College, Colombo, where she built foundations of faith and friendship that lasted a lifetime. She had a profound passion for culinary arts, truly believing that food was a love language. Dharshanie spent countless hours cooking and creating beautiful dishes, finding her greatest joy in making others happy and bringing people together around the table.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Felix and Terry Kulasekere. Dharshanie was a wonderful, devoted wife to her husband, Clarence Eustace, who was the center of her world. She was also the treasured youngest sister to Felix (Rohantha)(Chutta), and late Mohan George (Rocky), late Vishanthri Kulasekere (Nanga), and late Shriani (Cherry). Her presence will be profoundly missed by her family, her friends, and the tight-knit Banff community she loved so dearly.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Parish 403 Banff Ave, Banff, AB today, Thursday, July 23 at 11:00AM with graveside to follow.
