Annette Plummer

Annette Plummer of Canmore, Alberta passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at the Canmore General Hospital. She was surrounded by her husband of 65 years, Fred, her daughter Carrol and her beloved mountains, whose beauty she cherished every day.

Annette was born in Edmonton on May 5th, 1941, the eighth of ten children born to Juliette and Albert Roy. She grew up in Riviere Qui Barre, in a lively and close-knit family, full of laughter and strong values that shaped her life.

After finishing school, Annette began her career in tourism, working in Banff and Jasper, where she shared her love of the Rockies with visitors from around the world. She was active with the Kinettes, curling club and other volunteer organizations. Later, she became a well-known realtor in Canmore, a role she held for over twenty five years. Her warmth, integrity, and commitment to her clients made her a trusted and respected member of the community.

Annette was deeply involved in Canmore life. She was an active member of the Canmore Golf Club and the Pitch Club, and a long term Rotarian. She also enjoyed her time at Origins, where she made many friends and was always ready to lend a hand or share a story.

She loved golf, painting, sewing, and walking the SpringCreek trails. Annette had a keen eye for beauty and a generous spirit—qualities that showed in her art, her home, and her relationships.

Annette is lovingly remembered by her husband Fred; daughter Carrol (Nigel) Wallbridge of Switzerland; and her grandchildren Sarenne, Andrew (Josie), and Elise Wallbridge. She is also survived by her brothers Gilbert (Annalise) Roy of Red Deer and Art (Eileen) Roy of St. Albert, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her son Andrew, her parents Juliette and Albert Roy, and seven siblings.

Annette’s life will be celebrated at a gathering of family and friends at a later date.
