Alvin Frey

Alvin (Al) Frey passed away at the Canmore Hospital on Thursday November 10, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughters Rosemarie (Michael) Miller and Pamela Frey, his grandson David (Rachel) Frey, his sister Violet Frey and brother Herbert Frey. He will also be lovingly remembered by many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

Al was predeceased by his beloved wife Judy (Jutta), his parents John and Katharina, sisters Martha, Pauline and Bertha, and brothers Edward, and Arthur.

Al was born in Leader, Saskatchewan. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a flight lieutenant during WWII. Al and Judy spent a number of years visiting Canmore until his retirement when he and Judy made Canmore their home. Al most enjoyed staying active with his many close friends in the Canmore community.

Funeral services were held on Thursday November 17, 2011 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1205 - 1 Ave, Canmore AB (near the hospital). Al was then laid to rest with his beloved wife in the Canmore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
